The Mongolian National Wrestling Association (MNWA) is divided over its present leadership. The central issue is – who actually owns the Wrestling Palace? The dispute between the two sides intensified and recently ended in the police being called to end an altercation.
Earlier today (20 April), Z.Enkhbold, Chief of Staff to the President of Mongolia received high-rank former wrestler Kh.Bayanmunkh and R.Nyamdorj, former leader of the MNWA. During the meeting, Z.Enkhbold delivered a stern warning from President Kh.Battulga: if the two sides cannot reach a deal by the end of May, the Wrestling Palace will be nationalised.
