This coming weekend, Mongolia is to host the East Asian Table Tennis Championships in Ulaanbaatar. Athletes from Japan, North Korea, Taiwan, Macau, Hong Kong and the host country will compete in the championships. The tournament will take place at the sports hall of the Central Cultural Palace of the Mongolian Trade Unions.
The tournament is the first international sports event in 2018 to be hosted in Mongolia.
Mongolia has been selected to host five international competitions involving Jiu Jitsu, chess, freestyle wrestling, boxing and archery in 2018. Previously, Ulaanbaatar hosted the Asia continental Pro Jiu-Jitsu -GI championship on 27-28 January.
In June, the Southeast Asian Youth Chess Championships and Freestyle Wrestling ‘Mongolia Open’ will be held in Mongolia; following this, the International ‘Mongolian Archery Cup’ Open will be held in August.
