The “Unuudur” newspaper reports that eight Mongolian wrestlers have tested positive for doping. According to the newspaper, the Mongolian National Olympic Committee received the results after samples from 32 of the 1,024 wrestlers who competed in the Naadam festival were sent to a laboratory in South Korea for testing. So far the committee has made no official statement regarding the test results. According to regulations, the Naadam festival organizing commission must announce the test results and take action after an internal discussion. If the commission takes no action, then the National Olympic Committee must act. In any event, regulations require some action to be taken within the next week.
