The Workers Union of the Ulaanbaatar Public Transport Service Company held a press conference on 4 March to demand the resignation of director G.Tumurbaatar.

According to union representatives, director G.Tumurbaatar has been deducting MNT 350,000 from the pay of over 140 workers. Public transport workers currently earn a monthly MNT 1,200,000. In addition, the director has delayed important workers’ pension and benefit issues and also  bought supplies higher than market prices for own benefit.

Unless director G.Tumurbaatar goes, UB public transport workers are demanding a strike and sit in on Sukhbaatar square on 9 April.
