Mongolian UN peacekeepers have successfully participated in the Dankon-2018 marathon at the New Kabul camp in Afghanistan. This is far from a jog in the park: the 25 km marathon involves running with a 10 kg load over tough terrain in temperatures, which can be quite high. Mongolian peacekeeper, First Sergeant  B.Lkhagvajav won gold with 2.00.11 followed by B.Sanchir who took silver with 2.01.19 and S.Tumurbaatar won bronze with 2.02.20  over the 25km. Furthermore, Mongolian peacekeepers won first the 19 places in the marathon in which 249 peacekeepers from many countries participated.
