The Ulaanbaatar city administration say workers and volunteers collected two tonnes of rubbish from the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park on Sunday. The clean-up targets the banks of the River Tuul in the direction of Terelj. Over 40 people from the Gerelt-Ireedui (Bright Future) voluntary community, the Ulaanbaatar City Youth Development Agency and the staff of the ‘Brussels Belgian Beer Café’ participated in the clean-up.
The voluntary rubbish collection is planned to become a regular weekend event, the UB city administration said.
