Mongolian activists are calling for a demonstration on 31 March across the country  to protest against child abuse. The protest called for citizens to unite against the issue and call for change.

According to the State General Prosecutor’s Office of Mongolia, a total of 289 child molestation cases were registered in 2015-2016; in total, 48 percent of all defendants were relatives. These cases have been investigated by law enforcements, but, according to the activists, the real number of child abuse cases is far higher.
