On Sunday18 March, Vladimir Putin won his fourth term in the 2018 Russian Presidential election. Among the many international observers were four Mongolian members of the parliament, who had been invited to visit Moscow by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma.
The four members of the Mongolian State Great Khural were MP D.Lundeejantsen, chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on State Structure, L.Bold, B.Enkh-Amgalan and D.Zoljargal, chairman of the parliamentary group of the Democratic Party.
The four, observed the opening of election in the 1st polling station of the Arbat district in central Moscow and the close in 4th polling station. During the day, they also travelled to polling station 2224 which is located in the Kon’kovo district of the capital.
Whilst in Moscow, the Mongolian MPs also held a meeting with Konstantin Kosachev, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federation Council and discussed bi-lateral cooperation. At the meeting, Mr. Kosachev handed over an official invitation to MP D.Lundeejantsen to participate in an international forum on developing parliament rule which to be held in Moscow on 4-5 June.
