Delegates from the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party, the Civil Will – Green Party, the Mongolian National Democratic Party and the Mongolian Green Party signed a bill on a new Constitution today (14 March). They agreed to support a new Constitution drafted by the MPRP. The party has claimed that the bill was produced by researchers and academics.
N.Enkhbayar, leader of MPRP and former Mongolian president said ‘the Constitution creates the system. If the Constitution is bad – the system will be bad’.
It should be noted that neither of the country’s main parties, namely, the ruling Mongolian People’s Party nor the Democratic Party are supporting this initiative.
