The third Mongolian Film Festival has taken place in Kolkata, capital of India’s state of West Bengal. The event is being organised by the Mongolian Embassy in India in cooperation with the Consulate in Western Bengal.
Indian delegates led by actor Goutam Ghosh, Arindam Ganguly and Shyamal Kumar the former mayor of Kolkata participated in the film festival. During the event, the two sides agreed to cooperate on making documentaries as well as movies.
Mongolian films such as ‘Remote Control’ (2013) produced by S.Byamba, ‘People with Mongolian Blue Spots’ (2012) produced by Sh.Dorjsuren, and ‘The Story of the Weeping Camel’ (2003) produced by D.Byambasuren and Luigi Falorni were premiered in Indian theatres.
The Indian Film Festival will be held in July in Ulaanbaatar.
