All Mongolian museums are open free to the public from 1-8 March. The event, called ‘Museum Days’, is being organised by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sport.
During the week, people were lining up to visit the museums. For example, over 32 thousand people visited in Museum of Dinosaurs. Not surprisingly, 70 percent of the museum visitors were children.
The ‘Museum Days’ are being organised by the Ministry of Culture and will be held every year. All museums are holding special exhibitions to promote Mongolian history, culture, tradition and national values.
Ulaanbaatar has many interesting museums, some of which, for example, the history museum or the dinosaur museum contain unique objects to be found no-where else in the world.
