A meeting of the ‘Mongolian Bee Keeping Cluster’ (MBFC) was held on 3-4 March. During the event, the organisers provided information to people who interested in bee-keeping and taught people how to know pure honey from the fake product.
Mongolia produces 180-200 tonnes of honey annually. Honey is categorised by the ratio of sugary elements brought by the bees from planted flowers and from natural wild flowers. Some 99 percent of honey worldwide produced from planted flowers, but in Mongolia the sources are totally natural.
