International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated on 8 March every year. It commemorates the movement for women’s rights. In Mongolia, offices will be closed for International Women’s Day as a non-working day.

The entitlement to national public holidays is regulated by the Labour Code of Mongolia, which was established in 1999. Over the last ten years, several amendments have been added that provide adequately paid time off for all employees.
