Nearly 80 percent of Mongolian territory is now covered by snow. This winter, heavy snow has also fallen snow in the northern Mongolian province of Orkhon. The situation has forced some wild animals like rabbits to come down from the mountain to the town to look for food.  Fortunately, the local residents have warmly welcomed the wild animals which they feed and protect them from dogs.
