The findings of a survey entitled ‘Safe attitude: air-pollution and children’s health’ was revealed to the public on Thursday. The study has been conducted by the National Centre for Public Health in cooperation with UNICEF Mongolia.

According to the survey, respiratory disease has increased 2.7 times per over the last decade. In 2015, a total of 435 children died because of lung infection; it is now the second cause of deaths of children aged under 5.

Lung function growth of children who live in Ulaanbaatar is now 40 percent lower than children from the countryside.
