
South Korean President Lee Myung-bak has accepted an invitation from Mongolian President Ts.Elbegdorj and will pay an official visit to Mongolia between August 21st and 23rd. During Lee’s visit, representatives of the two nations will discuss a wide range of issues, including strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation, developing cooperation on trade and economic development, and exchanging workers. After that they hope to sign agreements related to those issues.
The two nations will also discuss cooperating on regional and national issues. A South Korean-Mongolian business forum will be held in conjunction with the visit. Mongolia and South Korea established diplomatic relations in 1991. Mongolian presidents visited South Korea in 1991, 2001, and 2007, while South Korean presidents visited Mongolia in 1999 and 2006.
