The Eagle Festival, one of most impressive tourist events in Mongolia will take place on 4-5 March at the Chinggis Khaan Khuree camp just outside the capital Ulaanbaatar. Golden eagles have been used by the Kazakhs for hunting over several centuries, the the Eagle Festival aims to preserve their proud tradition. Mongolia has been hosting the eagle hunting competition also known as the Eagle Festival since 2000.

The main Eagle Festival will take place in October in Bayan-Ulgii, home of Mongolia’s Kazakh nomads.
