Yesterday, Speaker of Mongolian Parliament M.Enkhbold returned from three-day visit in Vietnam with a high-level government delegation.

The Mongolian Government has accepted Vietnam’s proposal to cooperate in oil sector. The issue was discussed during a meeting between L.Radnaasuren, deputy of the Mineral Resources Authority of Mongolia and executives from the PetroVietnam Company in Hanoi. The Vietnam’s side proposed to undertake oil exploration in Mongolia.

Cooperation between Mongolia and Vietnam have been developing well in the fields of education and agriculture since the two countries established diplomatic relations 60 years ago. Last year, Vietnam expressed the interest on importing deep frozen meats from Mongolia, in return for export fish and fruits.

The trade volume between Mongolia and Vietnam reached USD 67.7 million in 2017; which was an increase on the previous year.
