This year, Mongolia and UK celebrate the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. As a symbol of friendship between the two countries, ice sculptures of the Beatles and Buckingham Palace have been created on Sukhbaatar square – the main square of the capital Ulaanbaatar. A team of ice artists led by Ts.Batmunkh have created the ice monuments the request of the British Embassy in Ulaanbaatar.

The opening ceremony of ice sculptures was held on 23 January.
