FIBA announced on Friday that the Philippines Basketball Federation (SBP) will organize the fifth FIBA 3×3 World Cup on 8-12 June 2018.

Twenty men’s and 20 women’s teams will compete in the team event and in three individual contests (men’s dunk contest including professional dunkers, women’s skills contest and mixed shoot-out contest). The Mongolian men’s team is included in the 40 qualified teams.

Previously, the Mongolia’s men’s team won gold in the second FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup 2017 in Ulaanbaatar on 29 October  2017.
