The parliamentary women’s group has held a meeting with the ambassadors of 15 countries. The meeting was attended by the ambassadors of the Czech Republic, Cuba, the Russian Federation, Canada, South Korea, Hungary, Great Britain, the USA, Australia, Laos, India, Germany and Japan.

In 2016, a record number of 13 women won parliamentary seats; currently,17.1 percent of 76 seats in the State Great Khural (parliament) are female. Just over a half of the total population of Mongolia are women (51.3 percent). The parliamentary women’s group was formed for protecting women’s social and political rights as well as solving specific health and education sector problems.
