Over two months has passed since Mongolian schoolgirl D.Serjmyadag disappeared on 2 November. The alarm was raised after the eight-year-old failed to return home from school in her hometown of Sainshand, which is the administrative centre of the Dornogovi Province and an important railway stop on the mainline to China. Over 1200 people joined a search for the missing girl. There were suspicions that she may have been taken across the border and  Chinese police joined the hunt. However, the Erin Police Department have reported that the girl does not appear to have crossed the Chinese border.
