National Emergency Management officer B.Tsend-Ayush from Selenge province has become national champion in the Mongolia National Weightlifting Championships. He also was named as ‘best-of-the- best’ athlete in men’s category in a competition in which over 180 athletes took part. The competition was held at State House on 2-3 January. In addition, the NEMA team took gold in the women’s category and silver in the  men’s.

The national weightlifting championships were organised with 64 lifts in the men’s category and 21 in the women’s category. Athletes also competed in the total of 15 weight categories (8 men, 7 women).
