B.Choijilsuren, who used to be Finance Minister, was named as a Person of the Year in the Social and Political Sector at the Golden Rose Award Presentations. The ceremony is an annual event organized by the MPP’s Youth Federation to name the best figures of the year.

After 2016 parliamentary election, Mongolia was close to declaring bankruptcy.  However, B.Choijilsuren was able to negotiate with IMF delegates and stopped this happening, turning things around and improving Mongolia’s economic growth increased to +5.8% in 2017, which is a major change from the -1.4% in the previous year.
