The Mineral Resources and
Petroleum Authority yesterday asked petroleum importers to reduce fuel prices
by Wednesday noon. However, our checks at 1 p.m. revealed that all types of
fuel were still being sold at yesterday’s prices.
The MRPA feels the MNT90 price
rise last week is unjustified and the increase should be limited to between
MNT50 and MNT60. That is why it
instructed that AI-92 and AI-80 prices should be brought down by MNT30 before
noon today, failing which import licenses could be suspended or even canceled.
Petrovis and NIK LLC yesterday
reduced diesel price by MNT100 per liter.
