The traditional wrestling competition, the Presidential Cup, will be held on Mongolia’s Independence Day (29 December). This year  marks the 106th anniversary of liberation from Chinese rule. A total of 128 high ranking Mongolian wrestlers will compete at what will be the seventh Presidential Cup.

Previously, state ‘giant’ (champion) S.Munkhbat and state ‘hawk’ B.Purevsaikhan have won the competition twice; state ‘elephant’ M.Ususkhbayar and state ‘lion’ Purevdavga have won it once.
