During the VAT Lottery held on 22 October, a winning number of MNT 500 million (over USD 20 thousand) was announced for the first time. Earlier today (22 December), the lottery’s organizing committee disclosed the winner’s name after confirming the authenticity of the receipt. The winner is J.Altanzul, a human resources employee at the BSB Service Company in Ulaanbaatar. J.Altanzul won the jackpot of MNT 500 million after purchasing coca-cola and ice-cream from a shop she regularly visits; her receipt was for MNT 3450.

Apart from J.Altanzul, four people were announced winners, receiving MNT 100 million, five people getting MNT 20 million and 93 people – MNT 4 million.
