Mongolian athletes from the national teams are seeing off 2017 with the great success of winning 14 medals from world championships; doubling the achievement of the previous year. The Physical and Sports Authority of Mongolia forms and coordinated the national teams in 19 sports categories. Mongolian athletes won two golds and five silvers from the Youth World Championship, three golds, silver and bronze from the World Cup, gold and silver from the Universiade and eight golds, 10 silver and 14 bronzes from the Asian Championship in 2017. Furthermore, Mongolians took four golds, four silvers and four bronzes from Grand Slam as well as six golds, five silvers and 11 bronzes from the GrandPrix.
Athletes from National Teams participated in 66 international competitions and won 35 golds, 29 silvers and 57 bronzes. The following athletes brought the first Mongolia medals:
-M.Ankhtsetseg gold from World Weightlifting Championship
-B.Achbadrakh bronze from World Skiing Championship,
-Kh.Enkhtuya (first Mongolian woman) gold from Para World Championship.
-Mongolian basketball team became champion of the Asian University 3×3 Basketball Championships
