The Mongolian Cabinet passed a new law on 13 December for granting cash awards to Mongolian artists and performers who have successfully participated in international events and competitions.

The government will grant MNT 52 million to a circus troupe which won the Golden Cup at an international circus festival held in China, MNT 24 million to opera singer E.Ankhbayar, who claimed the second prize in the 11th Elena Obraztsova International Competition of Opera Singers held in Russia, MNT 14 million to each of the students of the Mongolian State Conservatory M.Zaya, D.Suvd, G.Enkhtsag, G.Itgeltugs, N.Tsogt and G.Anar, who took the second place at Bartok-Kabalevsky-Prokofiev International Piano Competition and MNT 9 million to B.Yesui, a student who took third place.
