The National Movie Academy is
producing a film on the life of the 8^th Bogd Janzandamba, the last
king and head of Buddhism in Mongolia, on the occasion of the 100^th
anniversary of independence to be observed on December 29.

State Honored writer Daram
Batbayar has written the script which shows the king as basically a man of
religion. The music of the movie has been composed by People’s Artist N.Jantsannorov,
twice winner of the State Prize. Young actors have been chosen and the film is
being shot in Arkhangai and Bulgan aimags and at the Amarbayasgalant temple. A
biography of the Bogd Khan will also be published.
