Mongolia has been training human rights inspectors in cooperation with the “Good Neighbours” international organisation. This is the first team of its kind in Asia. A total of 38 civil servants who have been working for five years protecting the rights of children, have participated in 14 days of training. Over 40 civil servants from the nine districts of Ulaanbaatar and the country’s 21 provinces applied for training as human rights inspectors.

The human rights inspectors are empowered to impose fines and to prepare official reports and notifications.
