The Embassy of the United States in Ulaanbaatar has officially expressed its gratitude to the Mongolian National Emergency Management Agency NEMA) for rescuing the lives of two of its citizens. Earlier this month (9 November), NEMA officers rescued a 33 years old couple when their car got stuck in the snow in the Khankhongor Soum of the South Gobi (Umnugobi) Province. The US Embassy sent a letter of thanks to the director of NEMA, Major General T.Badral. In the letter, the embassy noted that this is the second time Mongolian rescuers have saved the lives of its citizens.
