B.Batzorig, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industries received Ms. Doan Thi Huong, Ambassador of Vietnam to Mongolia earlier today (29 November).
During the meeting, the Vietnam Ambassador expressed her confidence in Mongolia’s willingness to expand agriculture sector cooperation. The two countries established diplomatic relations over 60 years ago. Currently, the volume of trade between Mongolia and Vietnam stands at over USD 40 million; this is expected to increase to USD 70 over the next two years.
Ms. Doan Thi Huong supported the imports of frozen beef, mutton and horse meet from Mongolia and the proposal of an agreement for health certification for meat products. In addition, Mr. B.Batzorig pleased the Vietnam Ambassador by supporting direct flights between Ulaanbaatar and Hanoi and developing cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, trade and tourism.
