Mongolia’s suicide rate is the second highest in East Asia, according to the latest government white paper on suicide measures based on data released by the World Health Organisation (WHO). The number of suicides per 100,000 people for the current year stands at 28.3. The country with the highest observed rate is South Korea, where 32 out of 100,000 have been recorded as having taken their own lives.
