A team of doctors from the First Central Hospital and National Center for Maternal and Child Health of Mongolia with support from South Korea's ASAN Medical Center  have successfully performed a liver transplant operation. This medical achievement took place on 22^nd of April.

The liver transplant surgery, which was from mother to daughter, was performed over about 15 hours by a 60-member team of doctors. L.Bujinlkham who was in a critical condition was thus given life by her mother. The operation was the 34th liver transplant surgery performed in Mongolia, and the 3rd performed on a child.
