Some media sources have reported that teachers at the 29th School for the Deaf in the Mongolian capital, have sexually molested and raped students. These claims follow a reported interview with one student. The case is currently being investigated by the Mongolian Police. However, teachers from 29th School for the Deaf are very concerned that their reputations are being damaged by the affair and have demonstrated outside Sukhbaatar District Police Department in central Ulaanbaatar, demanding that the case be  investigated properly.

Teachers presented a complaint about the case to the Sukhbaatar District Police Department on 4^th of April, but, the police have not been able to do in finding either the victim of the alleged rape or the rapist.  The teachers said that, ‘Until the police solve the case, our reputation is ruined.’

It will be recalled that the alleged rape issue was made in the context of complaints about the poor Mongolian Sign Language skills among some of the teaching staff.
