Practical preparation for the forthcoming Mongolian Presidential Election is already underway. On 19th of April, The General Election Commission held a meeting on organising voting for citizens living in those foreign countries where Mongolian diplomatic missions are located
At the meeting, sub-commissions responsible for the organisation of voting abroad were established. According to the Law on Elections, sub-commissions shall be established at the diplomatic missions of Mongolia within 40 days prior to the voting day. Each sub-commission should be composed of 3-7 members, including a chief-organiser and a deputy.
At the meeting, a total of 45 sub-commissions in 32 countries, including Australia, the UK, the USA, Germany, Kazakhstan, Russia, South Korea and China were established. Voters residing abroad will cast their vote on 10th-11th of June.
