A Mongolian basketball team has become the champion of the Asian University 3×3 Basketball Championships, which was held in Malaysia from 12^th to 16^th of April. The Mongolian team won the gold medal after beating China 17:13 in the final match. A total of 11 Asian basketball teams participated in the championship which took place in the capital Kuala Lumpur. Mongolia has now secured the right to participated in the World Youth Basketball Championship in September. 

Previously, the Mongolian team won the silver medal at the Asian University 3×3 Basketball Championships after being defeated by China.
