Mongolian Health Minister A.Tsogtsetseg has held a meeting with Xing Haiming, Ambassador of China to Ulaanbaatar in order to discuss continued cooperation in the medical sector. The two neighbours have already been working closely for many years in  preventing contagious diseases, primary health care, post-natal and paediatric health, traditional medicines and medical training.

Mongolia and China have been building cooperation in the  health sectors and have been implementing medical programmes in four-year terms since 1991. During the meeting, the Minister Tsogtsetseg requested extending the medical programmes between the two sides; the previous 2012-2016 programme has already ended.

Ms. A.Tsogtsetseg expressed her gratitude for the USD 50 million Chinese aid package for Mongolia will be used for the health sector.
