Kh.Bat-Yalalt, who is head of both the NGO Justice for Citizens and of the For Human Party, has told the Uls Turiin Toim newspaper about these two organizations. The NGO was established in 2007 to protect citizens from state officials’ abuse of their rights to further state interests. It collects citizens’ complaints and opinions about state officials’ highhanded actions. Whenever possible, it fights to see the victim’s grievance is redressed. With the NGO experience behind him Bat-Yalalt has now formed a party that protects human rights.

For Human was not set up merely to win seats in Parliament, Bat-Yalalt says. It wants to spread awareness among the public of things wrong with society. It wants people to think why winning an election depends so much on one’s money power, and why holding a public office is seen as just a way of getting rich.

The NGO wants better monitoring of how the entire state machinery works and to ensure that the Government works for all and not only for the privileged section of society. People have lost faith in the Government and the political structure because of the way state officials behave. It is a high honor to be chosen a state official but there must be a mechanism to keep them on the right path. Accountability is essential, he added.
