The Government has appointed G.Battungalag as new Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the United Nations. G.Battungalag replaces G.Batjargal, UN Ambassador from Mongolia in Vienna.
Since becoming a member of the United Nations in 1961, Mongolia has been active across all the three main pillars of the UN, namely, development, peace and security, and human rights. The primacy of the UN as the world's most universal and legitimate international organization and a political center for global cooperation is indisputable.
