E.Bat-Uul, former mayor of Ulaanbaatar has announced that he is going to run to be Democratic Party (DP) nominee in the upcoming presidential election. According to a revised party rule, the DP national policy committee will convene and candidates for the presidency will be officially announced.

The final nominee from the DP for the presidential election will be selected through a poll involving all members of the party, similar to how the party recently elected its leader.

E.Bat-Uul successfully served as mayor of Ulaanbaatar from 2012-2016 and started many development projects in the Mongolian capital.
