The annual Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention, which started in Toronto on Sunday, provides a good sense of the level of the growing optimism in the industry; the organisers said they’re gearing up for a solid year. The convention will last until the 8th March. On the first day, a six-hour forum was held by the Mongolian delegation entitled: ‘Mongolia: for stability and unlocking potential for investment.' The Mongolian trade mission to the PDAC event consists of representatives of the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority, Mongolian mining companies and a press delegation. In total 150 delegates are participating in the event.

‘Steppe Gold’ will also make a presentation at the convention. This Mongolian company is planning to launch an IPO on the Toronto investment market in 2017.
