‘Old Mongolian History’, a comprehensive five-volume work about Mongolian history before Chinggis Khaan, has just been printed. The set of books has been published by the Presidentisl Office in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Sports and the National Committee of Mongolian Studies. The ‘Old Mongolian History’ project was initiated by Ts.Elbegdorj, President of Mongolia.

The five-volume, includes Mongolian history from V-IV century BC right through to  XIII century CE. The volumes are as follows:

• The Xiongnu: written by P.Delgerjargal and Z.Batsaikhan

• The Xianbei: written by P.Delgerjargal

• The Rouran Khaganate: written by S.Ulziijargal and A.Enkhbat

• The Turkic and Uyghur Khaganates: written by B.Batsuren and Munkhtulga

• The Nomadic Nations of Central Asia (VI-XII) is written by B.Batsuren, B.Chinzorig and E.Jigmeddorj
