Representatives
of Dashvaanjil LLC and Teplotsentral LLC told a press conference on Wednesday
about the advantages of the new eco-friendly heater for gers that they are
introducing after two years’ research. Dashvaanjil asked the Buriatia company
to work on it and it is now ready to be marketed.

The
new heater works on gas and has seven regulatory levels of warmth. Professional
monitoring organizations have approved its use and prototypes have been
submitted to the Ministries of Mineral Resources and Energy and of Nature,
Environment and Tourism and to the Air Quality Office.

The
heater itself costs USD350 but the gas cylinder and other accessories cost
another USD650.  When reporters wondered
if ger district households could afford this, the Executive Director of
Teplotsentral, P.V.Gennadievich, said that it is not much more than the present
cost of coal, and removal of ash.
