The President of
India, Mrs. Pratiba Davinsingh Patil, was welcomed by Minister for Foreign
Affairs and Trade G.Zandanshatar and Mongolian Ambassador to India D.Enkhbold
on her arrival at Chinggis Khaan airport yesterday for a state visit. Mrs.
Patil is accompanied by her husband, and a team including a Minister and some
MPs, civil servants and members of the media. The Indian President is returning
a visit to India by President Ts.Elbegdorj in 2009 and will be here until July
30.

Lady Kh.Bolormaa formally welcomed Mrs. Patil at a ceremony at Sukhbaatar
Square on Thursday. Their talks will lead to conclusion of an official
agreement between the two countries. The Indian President will also receive
Prime Minister S.Batbold, Deputy Speaker N.Enkhbold and women politicians.
This morning, Mrs Patil offered flowers
at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. She will also address the India- Mongolia
business forum.
