To add to the health woes caused by the 'killer smog', Ulaanbaatar now is dealing with another acute problem – alcohol poisoning. On 16^th of January, five people died after drinking alcohol. Officials at Ulaanbaatar City Hall have taken the prompt decision to examine all alcoholic products on sale in the Mongolian capital.

J.Batbayasgalan, Deputy Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, has announced a temporary ban on  selling and serving of alcoholic beverages in the Mongolian capital. This is expected to last for three and started yesterday,17^th of January, at 18.00.
