N.Koga, member of the House of
Representatives in the Japanese Diet and a senior leader of the Japan-Mongolia
Friendship Group is visiting Mongolia between July 23 and 27 on an invitation from
MP Su.Batbold. He today called on Speaker D.Demberel who gave him a warm
welcome.

Koga thanked the Mongolian people
for their help during the earthquake and tsunami and the leaders then talked of
the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation and the present strategic
partnership. Energy, mining and air transportation were identified as areas
where there was scope for wider cooperation.

Koga will meet with Prime
Minister S.Batbold relating the Tavantolgoi issue and will hand over a letter from
Japanese Prime Minister N.Kan to President Ts.Elbegdorj.
