A Mongolian team has successfully participated in a competition organised among the countries of East Asian. The competition took place in Hong Kong from 24^th to 29^th of November  marking the 40^th anniversary of the Special Olympic Committee of Hong Kong. Mongolian athletes took a total 30 medals (13 gold, 11 silver, six bronze) in the track-and-field athletics, badminton and bowling categories. More than 300 athletes from six countries, namely China, South Korea, Taiwan, Macao, Hong Kong and Mongolia participated in the competition.
