The biggest fashion event in Mongolia is the annual 'Goyol' fashion show. A gala fashion show was held at the Central Palace of Culture on 1st of December. Mongolian top models, namely O.Uyanga, O.Purevdulam, Kh.Badamgerel, Kh.Uyanga, G.Urantsetseg, S.Ariunbileg, E.Selenge were all on the catwalk.

Officials from the Mongolian Designers Association said ‘Designs presented  have been improving every year. However, in the  29^th fashion show there isn't any one person who can become top model this year’.

Awards, however, were made in the following categories:

Best designer  – O.Urantsetseg from ‘Ertnii Mongol Khiits’

Best new model – N.Azjargal

Best photo model – O.Ariunzul and N.Anu

Best design house – ‘Master Dodo’ LLC

Best designer of traditional clothes – B.Baasansuren from ‘Ur Undrakh’ LLC

Best designer of national clothes – M.Enkhtuya from Production and Art School Nomed named after Rajiv Gandhi

Best dress designer – Kh.Tserenlkhagva from ‘Precious Fashion House’ LLC

Best photographer – M.Tsoggerel

Best beauty specialist – G.Narmandakh from ‘Narumi’ studio

Best hairstylist – D.Odongoo from ‘Vidal’ salon

Best new designer – I.Urangoo from ‘Urangoo Ider’ brand

It showcases the best of Mongolian and international designers and models and normally sets the trend for the coming year’s look. 'Goyol' has been organized by the Mongolian Designers Association  since 1988.
